My favourite thing about the advancements that we have made in technology is that we can now listen to radio after the broadcast. Recently, I broke my car antenna and now I get intermittent CBC radio on my drive to the city. Starting listening to a great topic to only have it cut out is frustrating. Apparently antenna are not that expensive, but I keep forgetting to get one. Anyway, I am not sure I need one. Now, I get in the car and my phone immediately hooks to bluetooth and I can stream any CBC podcast that I want. It’s amazing.
If you haven’t explored the podcasts that CBC offers, I would do it soon. There are so many topics, from the environment to travel, and from authors like Jane Goodall to doctors in rural communities. And, each of these podcasts are valuable for different reasons. Many of the podcasts make you think and some challenge what you think you already know. A few of them make you laugh and a number of them could make you cry.
Choosing a podcast often depends on my mood. If I’m tired and lonely, I always go for laughter. If I am motivated and feeling smart, I go for something inspired by social justice. And, if I just want to be alone, I pick a topic that I know my guy will dislike. What kind of podcasts inspire you?
